Sunday, August 10th, 2003 was a milestone in the history of Veterans Helping Veterans in the Hoosier State.
Approximately 150 bikers rolled in the Hoosier Veterans Support Center Parking lot on what was to become a monumental event in support of veterans in need. Bikers registered at the support center and the ride began at noon where the long procession rolled out onto Michigan Street making its way around Monument Circle, Downtown, past War Memorial, past Military Park to Warman Street and finally ending up at American Legion Post #64 located on South Holt Road.
The chrome was shining as bright as the Indiana hot August Sun showing classic American Pride with their Harleys, Hondas, Suzukis and three wheel choppers. Riders from all over the state participated in making this event a huge success. With the combined hard word and dedication promulgated by Mr. Frank Brewer, and the Public Relations team of Jerry Edwards and Don Moreau resulted in this tremendous effort to help eliminate homelessness in Indianapolis and to help support productivity in the lives of our fellow veterans.
